Christchurch

Christchurch, known for its English heritage, is located on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. Flat-bottomed punts glide down the River Avon, which meanders through the center of the city. On its banks, there are cycle paths, there is also the large expanse of Hagley Park and the Christchurch Botanical Gardens. In 2010 and 2011, there were earthquakes that destroyed many of the stone buildings in the historic center.
