Pamplona

Pamplona, capital of the province of Navarra, is a city in northern Spain. It is mainly known for the celebration of bull running (festival of San Fermín) that takes place in July. During this legendary festival that lasts for several days, the bulls chase daring runners through the streets of the city. Pamplona, which is one of the main stops on the Camino de Santiago (pilgrimage route from medieval times), also stands out for its Gothic-style churches, such as the fortified church of San Nicolás.
