Oviedo

Oviedo is a city located in northwestern Spain between the Cantabrian Mountains and the Bay of Biscay. It is the capital of Asturias and is known for its medieval old town, where the Gothic-style Oviedo Cathedral is located, which is characterized by its Holy Chamber, dating from the 9th century. The Archaeological Museum of Asturias, located in a nearby convent, exhibits regional objects. The Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias includes 2 palaces and has an extensive collection of Spanish art.
