
On January 13, the Círculo Ecuestre held the second session of the cycle "The Role of Women in Foundations" with great success, a dinner-colloquium that brought together more than 150 attendees and featured a panel of top-level speakers.
The event was opened by Anna Gener, member of the Governing Board of the Círculo Ecuestre, who highlighted the importance of making female leadership visible in the foundation field. The moderation was in charge of Mª Eugènia Gay, jurist and second deputy mayor of Barcelona, who guided an enriching debate that highlighted the challenges and achievements in the sector.
Among the speakers were: Sara Puig, president of the Miró Foundation, who addressed the importance of art and culture as pillars for social cohesion; Judit Mascó, renowned international model and president of the ARED Foundation, who shared her experience leading projects for the social inclusion of women in vulnerable situations; Ainhoa Grandes, president of the MACBA Foundation, who spoke about the professionalisation of cultural management and the promotion of access to contemporary art; Elena Lauroba, professor of civil law and vice-rector of the UB, who analysed the impact of collaborative law on associations and foundations; and Gloria Oliver, general director of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, who emphasised the role of patronage in scientific and social research.
The session highlighted female leadership in foundations as a driving force for change and social transformation.
