On September 19, the Círculo Ecuestre hosted a conference organized by the Committee for New Initiatives (CNI), focused on the tokenization of investments in the real estate sector. The event was attended by renowned experts in the financial and real estate fields, who shared their knowledge and perspectives on the impact of blockchain technology on the real estate market.

The conference began with welcoming remarks by Javier Cornet, Vice President of the CNI Board, who highlighted the importance of addressing innovative topics in a sector as traditional as real estate. Next, Joana Marabella, CLO and co-founder of Balize, moderated a lively dialogue with Luis Besa, Real Estate Acquisition Manager, and Eduard Otero, an expert in real estate investments.

The event attracted some 60 attendees, who showed great interest in this new investment avenue. The tokenization of real estate, which allows the acquisition of small fractions of properties through digital tokens, promises to revolutionize the sector, increasing the liquidity, transparency and accessibility of investments.

During the conference, speakers highlighted the transformative potential of tokenization. They also discussed concepts such as profitability, equity and growth prospects for the sector, while mentioning some of the legal and regulatory challenges facing this new form of investment.

The event concluded with an analysis of the future prospects for the real estate market, including the growing interest in peripheral areas of Barcelona such as Sitges and Cerdanya, where investment operations are already taking place.

The meeting offered attendees a valuable opportunity to explore a new avenue of investment, as the real estate market prepares for an unprecedented transformation.
