On October 8th, the Círculo Ecuestre and the Bonasport Club celebrated the sixth edition of their Padel Championship with the aim of welcoming autumn.
Divided into three categories (female, male and mixed), more than 60 participants enjoyed the amateur tournament for a whole day at the Bonasport sports facilities, one of the most cosmopolitan sports clubs in the city of Barcelona.
The matches of the LG Barcelona Mercedes Benz championship, a name coined by the official sponsor of the event, were debated on the courts of the sports complex. These were baptized with the name of the sponsors: Closa Seguros, Organ and MCR Internacional.
KTK Shirts, Sumarrroca, Estrella Damm, Ametller Origen, Verdi Clinics, Royal Pádel, Physio, Waiters, Amlsport, Perucchi, Gin-Gina, Sara Martínez Nutritionist and Hotel Arts were other companies that wanted to contribute to the sports day for solidarity by providing products and gifts for the championship.
After the sports day, the event continued in the Escuela Hall of the Círculo Ecuestre, where attendees enjoyed a magnificent buffet, the distribution of prizes and a raffle of gifts. The day ended with a party enlivened by the rumba group Los Antonios, with drinks and dancing.
The Padel Championship committed itself one more year to an organization of a social nature. After collaborating with the Boscana Foundation, in 2014, and with the Clavel Foundation, in 2015, the Círculo Ecuestre and the Bonasport Club collaborated with the NGO Petit Detalls. The proceeds from the sporting event were used to help school children in rural areas of Uganda.
