On January 29th, the Círculo Ecuestre's Youth Committee organized a distinguished dinner-colloquium that brought together young professionals and entrepreneurs to reflect on the current challenges facing family businesses. The event featured Iñigo Susaeta, Managing Partner of Strategic Clients at Arcano Partners, as the guest speaker.
The session was introduced by Sara Rafecas, a member of the Youth Committee's Board, who emphasized the importance of creating spaces for dialogue and learning where new generations can benefit from the experience of leading professionals and reflect on the challenges that will shape their business and financial future.
During his presentation, Iñigo Susaeta addressed one of the key processes in the evolution of many organizations: the transition from "family business" to "business family." In this context, he underscored the fundamental role of the Family Strategic Plan as a tool for aligning interests, objectives, and risk perspectives among the various family members, fostering more structured and sustainable decision-making over time.

The speaker also emphasized the importance of the Family Office, not only as a vehicle for wealth management, but as a strategic element capable of aligning vision, purpose, and legacy, strengthening family cohesion, and providing structured support for generational evolution. In this regard, he highlighted its usefulness in professionalizing management, anticipating future scenarios, and preserving family values in the long term.
The colloquium, held in a friendly and participatory atmosphere, allowed attendees to exchange ideas, ask questions, and share concerns about governance, succession, and intergenerational value creation.
With initiatives like this, the Círculo Ecuestre's Youth Committee reinforces its commitment to creating spaces for reflection and learning, connecting new generations with role models in the business and financial sectors, and promoting a strategic, responsible, and long-term vision.
