The Western Club was founded in 1825, making it one of the oldest institutions in Scotland. During the following years the number of members grew by incorporating new clubs. In 1965 it was moved to 32 Royal Exchange Square, where it is still located today, close to the city's financial, commercial and cultural sectors.
The Western Club has a recently restored dining room, an informal all-day brasserie, available to its members. On the third floor there are conference rooms, work rooms for meetings and small seminars. In addition, it has several multipurpose rooms.
The required dress code is a jacket and tie for daytime access to the club, and smart casual for the rest of its spaces.
A cover letter is required to access.
