Established in 1858, the Valencian Society of Agriculture had as its primary objective the promotion of agriculture in all its branches and the protection and defense of the interests of agricultural owners and farmers. However, the then Royal Valencian Society of Agriculture and Sports has become, during its more than 150 years of history, a leading reference in the economic, social, political, recreational, festive and sports life of Valencia.
