The Moreton Club

The Moreton Club was founded in 1924 as a "home away from home" for women who wanted to get together in a convivial setting. The Moreton Club continues to provide a warm and welcoming environment for members and their guests.

Since 1957 it has been situated in a subtropical garden, on the Brisbane River, at New Farm, near Brisbane. Extension works to the original building included an accommodation wing and a great room with stunning views of the Brisbane River and the city. Its attractive patio and terrace are well suited for receptions, parties and other events. The Chef and her team ensure a high level of cuisine, with menus that change frequently.

The club is a five-minute walk from art galleries, parks, newsagents, pharmacy, hairdressers, and many excellent restaurants. The staff is friendly and efficient in accommodating members, their guests, and visiting members of appropriate clubs.
