The history of the Círculo Mallorquín dates back to 1851 when the “Casino Balear” and the “Liceo Mallorquín” merged. Its first location is today the seat of the Balearic Parliament.
It was born with the aim of bringing together in a single club the different musical, artistic, literary and sports activities of both institutions.
Since the times of its first president –D. Fernando Cotoner y Chacón, the first Marquis of La Cenia– until today, the Círculo Mallorquín has been evolving in accordance with the new times, however it continues to offer entertainment and cultural and artistic fun to its members.
In its current headquarters it has a bar, a restaurant, a kitchen for members, several card and chess game rooms, a dance and piano room, a library, a terrace and a garden patio.
