Founded on August 2, 1855 under the name "El Recreo", is an island-based association, with legal domicile in S/C de Tenerife, in the building it owns, located at Ruiz de Padrón street nº12 , with the rear facing Emilio Calzadilla Street, and its objective is to provide its members with all possible types of cultural and recreational activities, therefore its purposes are exclusively: Literary, artistic, cultural, recreational and sports.
The Club also owns a vast sports and recreational complex, located at kilometer 12 of the southern highway, in Barranco Hondo, municipal district of Candelaria, composed of a variety of fields for the practice of different sports modalities, various and regulatory swimming pools, one of them heated and covered, different constructions, adequate facilities and various services and equipment, as well as a complete social building; forming all of this together, a "Sports Club".
