Founded in 1897, its current location on Vanderbilt Avenue dates back to 1915 and is one block from Grand Central Station.
It is considered the largest university club in the world with 10,000 members.
It has 140 rooms, with all services. It also has a sports area with a gym, three squash courts, aerobics room, swimming pool. Three restaurants, one of them highly prestigious and with magnificent views. Library with more than 40,000 volumes. Several private rooms with a capacity of up to five hundred people.
The use of a jacket and tie is required in most of the halls, except in some where more informal dress is allowed.
Smoking and the use of the telephone are allowed in certain rooms.
Cash payment is not allowed, only credit cards are accepted.
