The Country Club was founded on December 27, 1926, in the same place where its main headquarters is currently located. Its origins are linked to the construction of the emblematic El Prado neighborhood – which in the 1920s represented the largest urban growth initiative in the prosperous Barranquilla of that time – since it was conceived so that the inhabitants of this new and luxurious neighborhood would have “a place of recreation and rapprochement.”
With the arrival of the new century, the number of sports disciplines and the appropriate infrastructure for their practice reached extraordinary growth, to the point that today the Country Club constitutes the largest sports complex in the country.
