The Società del Casino di Genova has its headquarters on the noble floor of the Doria Lamba Palace in via Cairoli 18.
The building, which was included in the registers of 1588 and 1664, is the result of an extension in the eighteenth century of the previous building by Stefano Lomellini. When Strada Nuovissima, today's via Cairoli, was laid out, Stefano Lomellini's palace was enlarged to incorporate two built side lots, assuming its current appearance. The architect Gregorio Pettondi, designer of the road layout, studied a double view, the oldest in via Lomellini and the most recent in via Cairoli. The result was a complex and scenographic distribution solution, connecting the two atriums and the rooms on the upper floors.
