The Círculo Ecuestre has hosted the presentation of Lo que nunca conté, the new book by journalist Anna R. Alós, a work that offers a chronicle of chronicles and provides a social radiography of Barcelona narrated with wit, biting irony, and agility. The book spans more than three decades, from 1974 to 2026, drawing from memories, scenes, and episodes linked to social, political, and cultural life.
The event was introduced by José Mª Cardellach, member of the Governing Board of the Círculo Ecuestre, and was moderated by Álex Sàlmon, journalist and director of the Abril supplement of Prensa Ibérica.

During the meeting, the author shared the origin and the creative process behind this work, which gathers stories that for years remained off the pages due to the constraints of the journalistic profession. The constant demand to adapt each text to an exact number of characters left many anecdotes sidelined from her columns. In this book, Alós recovers those stories and brings them together in a narrative built upon memory, observation, and journalistic experience.
Throughout the presentation, the compilation nature of the book was highlighted, built from an extensive professional career and an attentive gaze at the characters, gestures, and situations that have defined the public and social life of Barcelona for decades. The work features scenes starring prominent figures such as Xavier Trias, Jordi Pujol, Jordi Hereu, Carles Puigdemont, Mariano Rajoy, Naomi Campbell, Tina Turner, and Kate Moss.

With forty years of experience, Anna R. Alós shapes in Lo que nunca conté a tale that combines observation, humor, and a critical eye. Through this mosaic of memories, the journalist provides a broad and vivid view of society, transcending the anecdotal to chart a journey through more than three decades of social life.
The presentation held at the Barcelona club successfully brought attendees closer to a work deeply marked by memory, journalistic expertise, and social portrayal, during a session focused on the author's creative process and the stories that make up this new book.
