The Círculo Ecuestre hosted this Monday the presentation of the book ¿De verdad quieres ser CEO? Liderazgo audaz, written by the managing director of LLYC in Madrid, doctor in economics and university professor, Iñaki Ortega. The meeting served to debate the real challenges faced by top executives in today's business environment.

The event was presented by the president of the Círculo Ecuestre, Enrique Lacalle, and moderated by the managing director of LLYC Barcelona, Àngels Chacón. In addition, it featured the participation of Toni Ruiz, president and CEO of Mango; Joan Roca, executive president and partner of Roca Junyent, alongside the author of the work, Iñaki Ortega.

During the debate, the speakers agreed with the main thesis of the book, which seeks to demystify the idealized vision that society usually has of the figure of the CEO. Far from the superficial perception of privileges, the speakers pointed out that top executives are the most committed and exposed in the organization. Furthermore, it was stated that the position entails extreme public exposure, loneliness in strategic decision-making, and constant risk in the face of any eventuality or crisis. Finally, the protagonists concluded that a CEO without passion will never be a good CEO.
