The Círculo Ecuestre hosted a unique experience for lovers of travel and unfamiliar cultures: the conference ‘The Seven Wonders of the World,’ organized by the Ali Bey Travel Committee.

On a cultural tour that has combined history, architecture and adventure, guided by club member Juan Corona, PhD in Economics and Business and Professor of Applied Economics, attendees discovered wonders such as the imposing Great Wall of China, the majestic Petra in Jordan, and the secrets of other world heritage gems.

Corona, renowned for his passion for travel and exploration, took the audience on a fascinating journey that celebrated human creativity and ingenuity throughout the centuries. The event brought together club members, who enjoyed an evening filled with stories, stunning images, and travel anecdotes that inspired them to dream and plan future adventures.

The organization of this conference on January 19th, as part of the club's activities program, reinforced the institution's commitment to culture, travel, and the intellectual curiosity that defines it.

The Ali Bey Commission, established at the Círculo Ecuestre in 2023 and named in honor of Domingo Badía (1767-1818), aims to offer members new ways to discover the world. Inspired by the Spanish adventurer who traveled the Middle East under the pseudonym Ali Bey, the commission seeks to bring distant cultures and unique experiences closer to its members, always with a focus on exploration and discovery.

Once again, the Círculo Ecuestre continues to solidify its position as a space where its members and the Barcelona community can explore the world from a unique, inspiring, and educational perspective.
