Círculo Ecuestre has hosted a new session dedicated to entrepreneurship and investment, focused on the figure of the Business Angel and the challenges faced by professionals who decide to invest in emerging companies. The event was presented by Andrea Puga, member of the Youth Committee of Círculo Ecuestre, and moderated by Inés Ures, co-founder of Arpías and Founding Partner at Real Ventures.
The conference also featured José Antonio González, Audit Partner at Deloitte and promoter of StartmeUp, Guillem Serra, CEO and co-founder of MediQuo, and Josep Casas, co-founder of Naturitas and current CEO of Food for Joe and Europistachos. The main focus of the debate was how the startup investment ecosystem has ceased to be the exclusive territory of large funds and institutions, becoming an increasingly common option for professional profiles seeking to diversify their activity.

During the discussion, González shared his vision after more than 31 years of professional experience, highlighting that the learning curve in this sector can be "hard, expensive, and lonely" without the right tools. For his part, Serra emphasized what to look for in a founder beyond the pitch, noting that in early stages, the resilience and operational capacity of the team are determining factors for success.
Along the same lines, Casas explained his transition from entrepreneur to investor, and discussed how to identify opportunities before they become obvious to the market and how to build a balanced portfolio from the start.
The session concluded with a practical approach, where the speakers agreed that the success of a Business Angel lies in the combination of a solid strategic vision with the ability to learn from direct market experience.
